🔢 Part 2: Countable Nouns – Examples

Countable nouns can be singular or plural.

Singular Plural Urdu

apple apples سیب
car cars گاڑیاں
pencil pencils پنسلیں
boy boys لڑکے


✅ You can use:

a/an

numbers (one, two, three)

many, few, several, a lot of


Examples:

I have two books.

There is a cat on the wall.

She bought many pencils.

🌊 Part 3: Uncountable Nouns – Examples

Uncountable nouns do not have plural forms and cannot be counted directly.

Uncountable Noun Urdu Meaning

water پانی
milk دودھ
sugar چینی
rice چاول
air ہوا
information معلومات


❌ You cannot say: milks, sugars, rices

✅ Use these with uncountable nouns:

some

much

a little

a lot of


Examples:

I drink some water.

There is a lot of sugar in tea.

She gave me some information.

There is much sugar in the jar. جار میں بہت چینی ہے۔
